Transmission has negotiated 177 screens for Mary Magdalene, made by the Lionian Garth Davis with See-Saw Films. In its first week it took $217,000 less previews to generate $1300/screen. With no US screenings, it is set for a very bad time at the box office. It seems to need both a secular and a religious audience and has ended up with neither.
