The Screen Producers Lifetime Achievement Award is only in its third year, and honours people who have pushed their enterprises beyond what seems possible. The first winner was Des Monaghan, who built Screentime with Bob Campbell, gave us Underbelly and Cloudstreet, was a network executive in New Zealand and sued Prime Minister Muldoon for defamation all on his own. He was followed by exhibition and distribution legend Natalie Miller, whose vision is central to our arthouse market and is an inspiration to the modern Gender Matters movement.
