AACTA faces reality, grows feature film screening list

AFI/AACTA releases second list of films to be included in film contention, to right a wrong in changing times.

This year’s list of films in contention for the AFI/AACTA Awards left a nasty feeling that some films had been left out. Now, four more films have been added to the list. The background is very instructive. 

The Awards have two strands – automatic entry for a film with a four city release, and a jury system for other films with smaller footprints and/or releases on the net.
