Box Office 14 June 2016 proves local lerve for Wilderpeople

Our New Zealand cousins will be watching with glee as audiences turn out for Wilderpeople.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is on 166 screens for Madman, up by 49 in its third week and is making $9.084/screen. Natalie Miller at Melbourne’s Nova is running it on the hour every hour, which helps to explain why it has made $4.542m. The audience seems to be very diverse, from retired insurance fraud investigators to young folk with home made shoes and twigs in their hair.
