Box Office 14 March 2016 – featuring the most noxious hero in the modern world

Australia arthouse audiences are enchanted by a film whose main character is defined partly by projectile shitting.

This is The Gods of Egypt, which does have projectiles but not from a derelict caravan in Camden Town.

The Daughter, Australia’s latest arthouse contribution, is on previews at the moment and has made $110,000. Neither a romp nor a true weepie, it may fall between stools – or catch the domestic Zeitgeist. Be great if it did.

Spear has slipped gently into the cinemas – well, five. $9450 at the box office; $1733/per. It is well worth a look.
