The short form winners at MIFF 2015 are leading out a new bunch, which have not hit the headlines before. The range is extraordinary, with very different ideas of pure cinema.
Great to see the the Karrabing Indigenous Corporation coming through with the Nova Cinema’s Award for Best Short Fiction film, which went to When the Dogs Talked, produced by the Corporation and Tess Lea, directed by Elizabeth Povinelli, who is the Franz Boas Professor of Anthropology and Gender Studies at Columbia University, and all round fascinating person.
