In its first week, the Gillian Armstrong frockmeister doc Women He’s Undressed took just over $100,000 off eighteen screens at an average of $2927. That is not a comfortable figure even for a documentary but those particular screens will be seeing a decent crowd of art-house devotees lining up with the minimum fuss for the staff. Expect a bit of affection from the exhibitors, as word spreads through the visual arts and clothes worlds that there are lovely designs on display.
