Partisan, the first feature from Ariel Kleiman, written with Sarah Cyngler, produced by Anna McLeish and Sarah Shaw, has arrived in Australia after taking the cinematography award for Germaine McKimming at Sundance. The picture is about the relationship between a child and his father who trains him to kill, and is supported by the tagline, ‘Protect the ones you love.’
Warp Films Australia, the lead production company, is closely involved with Madman, has Enterprise money from Screen Australia, and produced Snowtown, the debut feature from Justin Kurzel, who was in competition at Cannes with Macbeth.
