Underneath all the cash and creative dreams, the construction of screen art is an act of craft. In honour of this making, and at the close of another long, challenging year, I give you The Fox of Bloody Woman Island.

Made with quiet craft, it depicts a much older mastery of form and substance, tested by tradition and the imperatives of the sea.
