The one Australian feature active on the cinema circuit at the moment is Fat Pizza Vs Housos. The only reason why Tourism Australia has not offered to buy the IP to confine it forever to our shores is that no-one can stop it from being pirated.

Which film leads the limited release board at the moment? The answer is instructive.

It is called Cong Cong Na Nian, is on eleven screens, is averaging $9,443/screen, is put out by China Lion and has taken $103,868 in a week. Limited though the release is, those cinemas are the large multiplexes in the city near overseas students.
