Stuart Menzies: to leave ABC

ABC TV executive Stuart Menzies will leave the ABC on August 29.

During his substantial 10 year career at ABC TV, Stuart has worked across multiple roles and genres.

Stuart joined ABC TV in 2004 as Head of Documentaries, and in this role was responsible for commissioning over 225 hours of production, bringing documentaries back to the forefront of ABC prime time viewing.

Under his steerage, ABC TV achieved outstanding success with its documentary slate, from the highest rating documentary ever on ABC TV, Who Killed Dr Bogle and Mrs Chandler (2.35 million), to the landmark series Captain Cook: Obsession and Betrayal in the New World, to the pop history of our accent in The Sounds of Oz.
