With its strong emphasis on local development, it is pretty natural  that Cinefest Oz, the Busselton festival showcasing the south-west of Western Australia, is leading out with Son of a Gun.

The director, Julius Avery, shot the flm in WA, and was born in Pemberton, a town in the south-west, so this is truly a local celebration.
