MIFF 2014: Mid point feast for Australian cinema tragics

Cut Snake took up the mid-point gala moment that MIFF is building as a centrepiece book-ended by the opening and closing nights. Turkey Shoot brought its genre mischief to Sunday night,  while the two Accelerator Shorts sessions showcased emerging Australian and NZ talent who participated in the workshops.

These world premiere screenings have a particular flavour in Melbourne, in front of home town crowds, with stars and crew dotted through the audience.
