Martin Fabinyi explained that the first day’s shoot on Manny Lewis was taking place in Taylor Square in Sydney. They were filming a scene where the title character Manny Lewis (Carl Barron) is on a first date with his potential girlfriend. Martin wasn’t able to give anything away about the scene, “but it’s certainly not a movie that people will find miserable,” he said.
