Graeme Mason came into the Museum of Contemporary Art at Circular Quay this morning to belt out a breakfast lesson unshaken by the federal budget, unfazed by governmental small-mindedness and with no time for industry negativity.

He told the audience at the Currency Press Arts and Public Life breakfast some truths the screen sector finds familiar.  We are seen, paradoxically, to many in the arts as “largely the dirty/commercial end of cultural endeavours“, while the business community sees us as “fluffy creatives.”
