Screen Australia: last hurrah from the days of plenty

Screen Australia is being definite about its fiscal value. $4.5 million in these projects gets $25m in production.

It is now  obvious that multiplatform funding is a quick, dirty and joyful way of playing with new ideas without the savage constraints of budget and audience demands.

Screen Australia has no less than nine of them in the last production round of this pre-Abbotty financial year, reflecting the way types of production tend to clump in the process. Some of them are less provocative but great for their tot audience.
