John Maynard: Fell

The final pieces of Fell have been put in place and the film is ready to take its place in competition in the Sydney Film Festival

John Maynard began working onFell a couple of years ago. He met director Kasimir Burgess and thought he was “a very interesting director.” They started working on an idea which had already been developed into a script, with Natasha Pincus as screenwriter. John felt that the film had ventured too far into the genre realm, and decided that it needed to move a different direction. While the film industry has room for many types of films, John prefers to avoid the very rules-based genres (such as horrors and thrillers).
