The Australian International Documentary Conference has gone from makeover to full chassis rebuild as it sets out to deliver on dreams it has nurtured for a generation. All as a way of confronting a difficult future.

Quietly, comprehensively, the Australian International Documentary Conference is being completely rebuilt. “This is not the AIDC as we know it at all,” said Joost den Hartog, the organisation’s director, on the phone.
