The ABC lines up the hopes and horrors of life and scores two ratings winners with Australian Story and Four Corners. Think Murray Rose and JFK.

The ABC gained 152,000 with the first of two parts on legendary swimmer Murray Rose, after a refugee story cost it 34,000 compared to Elizabeth Jolley.
