Venturing more and more into fiction production, Essential Entertainment is producing Bubble Bath Bay, a 52-part animated pre-school series for ABC Children’s Television. Carmel Travers shared production details about the large-scale Aussie-Irish-Singapore co-production with ScreenHub at MIPCOM.
If a producer’s affectionate tone while speaking about his or her animated heroes is a measure of how heart-warming the end product is gonna be, then be prepared for a lot of cuteness. Essential Partner and Head of Children’s Entertainment, Carmel Travers talks about Zip the Water Taxi and Sydney the Sailboat as if they were her own children. (She has two grown up sons who provided music and voice-overs for the demo footage of the show.) It’s nice to witness her enthusiasm.
