Anyone who thinks that Australian documentary has gone soft should pay careful attention to the list of films up for the 2013 Walkley. Sydney residents can see the lot over the weekend of October 19th and Sunday October 20th.
This is the first annnouncement from this year’s Walkley pack, since only the Walkley Book and the documentary awards actually go to a longlist.The shortlist is revealed on the 17th October – behind the scenes we can imagine that cull gets a bit tense.
