It was not your ordinary weekend, as punters had an actual reason to watch the box. On Saturday the networks had a credibility/entertainment fight; on Sunday Nine and Ten challenged Seven with some new shows but were whacked by a retread pushed back from 6.30. Ouch.

According to the Saturday night five city prelim figures on TV Tonight, Nine won the electoral coverage with 672,000, followed by the ABC on 631,000, with Ten a joke on 306,000.
