The Australian’s Darren Davidson reports that Foxtel CEO Richard Freudenstein is trying to entice Seven and Nine into a collective streaming company to meet Netflix and Hutu on the digital battlefield.

This claim is a heartstarter for regulators because it implies a single joint venture linking all the major commercial players in broadcast television. Ten is not mentioned but it is also tangled up with Murdoch so would be approached too.
