One of the most influential and successful drama executives in the world, Kate Harwood, Head of Drama Production, England for the BBC has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at Screen Forever, the 2013 SPAA Conference taking place at Melbourne’s Crown Conference Centre from 18 to 21 November. Harwood will speak on Tuesday, 19 November.

The BBC is probably the greatest public broadcaster in the world, with a reputation for quality drama that is second to none. Harwood joined the development team at the organisation 23 years ago and was a script editor for the BAFTA-winning drama Holding On seven years later. Since then she has risen through the organisation, as a producer (with credits including Charles II – The Power and The Passion and David Copperfield) and as an executive producer (Daniel Deronda and Crime And Punishment).
