The custodians of public collections in Australia are committed to protection and control. Now they are talking quietly about a revolutionary idea: in the digital world, they can surrender their treasures to the public to do whatever they like. Enter Paula le Dieu, digital guru and idealist, bent on subversion.

Originally from Melbourne, Paula le Dieu was brought back from London in mid-August to participate in a conversation between the National Film and Sound Archive, the ABC and other cultural organisations. At stake is a radically different notion of ownership of our stories and our culture.
