With the cat now out of the bag on the bulldozing of key cinemas used by the Melbourne International Film Festival, the search is on for a solution. The deal may not have been done, but this is the most likely outcome.

With 430 screenings in around seventeen days, the Melbourne International Film Festival revolves around the six cinemas run by Greater Union.
