430 sessions, 170 of them totally sold out. The figures mask some heartening trends in audiences for one of the longest film festivals in the world.

The audience award went to The Rocket, the Australian film shot in Laos about Laotian children by Kim Mordaunt and Sylvia Wilczynski. It took the same award at the Sydney Film Festival.
