QPIX, the Screen Resource agency based in Brisbane, has been defunded by Screen Queensland and will close on January 1st, 2014.

Kerry O’Rourke, the CEO of QPIX, publicly announced the end of the organisation this morning, though he and Screen Queensland have been working through the transition issues for some time.

“I don’t know why it happened,” he said on the phone. “We can surmise, but there has been no reason given, and no written set of criteria”.
