The revised Multi-platform Drama Production program from Screen Australia has yielded a group of creative teams that is actually (gasp) diverse. Nine projects, $2.5m, up to $500,00 on offer but most at the $150,000 – $250,000 level.

According to Fiona Cameron, the chief operating officer of Screen Australia and the lead official on the project team, “We are dealing with a lot of raw talent – it is a fund where you have to be risky, the absolute opposite of safe. There will be failures, but this is an opportunity for us to try new forms and invest in new talent.”
