Storm Surfers 3D opened its theatrical season in the US on Friday, at the same time that the Xlrator Media, confirmed an ancillary distribution deal with retail giant Walmart, and producer Marcus Gillezeau was forced to buy tickets from scalpers in Shanghai in order to see his own film. Firelight Productions Ellenor Cox took the time to describe and eye-watering array of international deals.

Cox told ScreenHub that the initial US release was in thirty cinemas, but that was likely to increase as the distributor was getting requests from theatres to expand the footprint. It was also released day and date to video on demand.
