The Senate committee enquiring into The Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s commitment to reflecting and representing regional diversity has called for changes to the ABC Charter to “ensure that, given the new convergent landscape, the ABC is producing content across all platforms that reflects regional diversity.”

The enquiry was called following the ABC’s decision to close its production facility in Tasmania.
