How come US television shows do so well internationally? Melbourne producer Ros Walker used a fellowship last year from the International Specialised Skills Institute to prowl Los Angeles gathering data from more than thirty key creators. Now she has presented her final report.

I travelled to LA in February 2012 on an International Specialised Skills Institute Fellowship hoping to find clues about how Hollywood is creating such consistently strong television series. Since then, I have been discussing the results with the industry, using the ideas in courses, and writing the final report.
