In a rare moment of great news, ABC director of news Kate Torney today announced to her staff that the government has given them a one-off payment of $10m.

Ironically, the funds went to the Senate at 4.30 last Friday, a mere ninety minutes after Mark Scott was given the once over at the Senate enquiry in Hobart.
