Southern Light Films and co-production partner WBMC have announced that Australian actor Brenton Thwaites, BAFTA Rising Star nominee Alicia Vikander, and AFI-nominated Jacek Koman will star alongside Ewan McGregor (Star Wars, Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge) in Julius Avery’s debut feature Son Of A Gun.
Thwaites, whose previous starring role was in Blue Lagoon: The Awakening, has recently completed production on Disney’s Maleficent with Angelina Jolie, has been cast as the protégé of McGregor’s master-criminal turned mentor.
