German company ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE), a significant player in the Australian children’s television space, has announced a major restructure of its operations.
Under the restructure, genre-specific divisions – ZDFE.junior (Children and Youth Programs, headed by Peter Lang), ZDFE.drama (Series and TV Movies, headed by Tasja Abel), ZDFE.factual (documentaries, headed by Ralf Rueckauer) and ZDFE.entertainment (Show, Music, Sports, headed by Sylvia Brucker) – which currently manage all aspects of their genre, from acquisition to sales and distribution, will vanish.
