The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and live-streaming company Spondo.com have signed an agreement that will put ABC children’s content through Spondo’s syndication channel, www.123tv.com.au, which launched on Monday. The site is a streaming service backed up by a syndicated marketing idea.

The concept behind Spondo and123tv.com.au is that non-profits and schools will do the marketing for the company. Registered non-to-for profits promote the site to their supporters. When the supporters come to the site to pay, they are able to select which charity they are supporting. “Up to” 25% of their purchase price then goes to the selected group. The Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia is the first charity on board with the concept.
