Interested in filmmaking, designing, writing or directing for screen? Looking for an intensive course where you will receive mentorship, guidance and direction from some of the Industry’s finest? Look no further than the National Institute of Dramatic Art’s 2013 Studio courses.
The 2013 series of NIDA Studios is the result of extensive consultation with students, the new NIDA Course Advisory Group and industry experts. In these studios, students will be given up-to-date training, careers advice, access to excellent facilities and some of Australia’s finest teaching staff.
NIDA Studios are offered in a range of disciplines including acting, filmmaking, writing, directing, and designing. Students will finish the course with an up-to-date and competitive skill set, with the Studio courses drawing on current practices and trends in the arts and entertainment industries as well as the expertise of industry professionals from across Australia and around the world.
Screen knowledge and practice is a specific focus in many of the Studios – from the Filmmaker Studio where students collaborate with others to create a documentary and short film, to the Designers, Writers and Directors Studios which develops skills and confidence to design boldly, write compelling stories or lead a creative team for screen.
Studio students will also have the opportunity to take advantage of the Institute’s strong links with the arts and entertainment industries. Taught by accomplished artists and practitioners, students will develop their understanding of contemporary professional practice from an industry perspective.
