The seriously skeptical of this world will contend that an absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. It is a neat syllogism that well served the Opposition in parliament last week as the self appointed guardians of personal integrity, the eponymous Abbott and Bishop of personal rectitude, sought to nail a charge of professional malfeasance on the Prime Minister.
