Recognising that it too is a corporation, the Australian International Documentary Conference creates a new division to acknowledge a change in priorities. And one of Australia’s biggest grinners is coming back from LA to do the keynote.

This announcement needs a bit of context. The AIDC has released plans for a new kind of ticket to engage documentarians who focus on the joys of production rather than the machinery of money. It has also created a much stronger exhibition strand, bolstered by the Adelaide International Arts Festival.
