NIDA Summer Residencies are an opportunity to develop and extend performance skills through two, three or four week intensive courses at NIDA.

Residencies on offer for people aged 18 years and over this summer include the TV Presenters Residency, Actors Residency, Advanced Actors Residency and Music Theatre Residency. NIDA also has a specialised Residency for people aged 15 to 18 years, the Young Actors Residencies.

All Summer Residencies are conducted Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, and are perfect for people looking to build their skills, make industry connections and dedicate themselves in this intensive learning format. Some of the high calibre industry professional taking these residencies include Jennifer Hagan, Ian Watson, Imara Savage, Guy Edmonds and Tyran Parke and many more. 

This year’s TV Presenters Residency will focus on creating commanding and entertaining television hosts with participants working to-camera in a studio under the guidance of Shae Brewster.

Shae is best known for her work hosting the long-standing children’s show Saturday Disney on the Seven Network. During her 13 years of working in television Shae has honed her skills as a talented and witty presenter, delivering engaging interviews with celebrities such as Jack Black, Hugh Grant, Zac Efron, The Jonas Brother, Selena Gomez and The Olsen Twins.
