The Made In Melbourne Film Festival is the only film festival exclusively for Melbourne filmmakers. Now in its third year and running three nights in early December, MIM showcases some of the best films our local industry has to offer, from award-winning short films and premieres to music clips and feature films.

The opening night will be at the classic and grand Astor Theatre. Highlights include the stunning drama Deeper Than Yesterday, a film that has traveled all over the world and picked up numerous awards, including best short film at both Cannes and Sundance, two of the most famous and prestigious festivals in the world; Rippled, dazzling animation created using glow sticks to paint images in the night sky one frame at a time by multi-award winning animator Darcy Prendergast; and the world premiere of The Tea Party, the new film from last years winner, Cameron McCulloch, a twisted black comedy featuring a Prince and a Princess and talking stuffed animals voiced by Samuel Johnson and Steve Bastoni.
