Paul Henry met with TVNZ CEO Rick Ellis on Sunday and resigned, effective immediately, from TVNZ. Two controversial on-air performances within a week, both related in some way to India, saw the end of the broadcasting career – for now at least – of the man who only three weeks ago was the Peoples’ Choice winner at the Qantas Awards.
Paul Henry and TVNZ CEO Rick Ellis both issued statements following the announcement of the resignation.
