Despite the disappointing performance of a number of NZ features over the last year, the judges found plenty of strong nominees to choose from in selecting the finalists in the 19 film categories.
The Screen Directors Guild of New Zealand (SDGNZ) executive director and awards organising committee co-chair, Anna Cahill, said, “There were no easy decisions when it came to selecting the finalists in this year’s film categories.”
