An audience of over 500 watched the twenty eight (28) finalist films and music clips in Civic Park on Saturday the 5 June, followed by the announcement of seven (7) Judges Commendations and seventeen (17) Galah Awards.
The top three awards went to;
The Galah Award for the Best Music Clip, sponsored by Charles Darwin University went to Gurrumul Yunupingu for “Gurrumul History – I Was Born Blind”. Beautiful music combined with moving lyrics and images from his life. The music clip is a rare insight into this shy man’s life and his rise to fame across the world.
