Goalpost Pictures Australia has announced that casting is underway for a major new Australian film, The Sapphires, based on the smash-hit play which is currently wowing audiences at its return season in Sydney.
The Sapphires is to be directed by acclaimed director and actor Wayne Blair, from a screenplay by Tony Briggs (playwright of the stage production) and Keith Thompson (Clubland), and produced by Goalpost’s Rosemary Blight and Kylie Du Fresne (Clubland, The Eternity Man, Lockie Leonard, Scorched, Closed for Winter).
