New York NY August 20 2009—”Plastic,” a short film directed by Sydney Filmmaker Sandy Widyanata and produced by Courtney Wise, will represent Australia this year in the 12th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival during the week of Sept. 20 to 27th.
Widyanata is one of 10 semi-finalists whose work will be screened 532 times in 173 cities across five continents, exposing “Plastic” to a worldwide audience of over 100,000 people who will vote for the best short film in the Festival. “Plastic” was selected from among 428 entries received from 36 countries. The Festival winner will be announced in New York September 29th.
