Independent filmmakers in NSW have until December 6 to take their chances with the Jump Start Subsidy Fund from Metro Screen.
Metro Screen allocates resources to subsidise independent productions through this fund, with applications considered four times per year.
The Committee typically comprises representatives of the Metro Board, Facilities Department and the independent production industry. Applicants should be realistic about the amount of subsidy sought and note that the committee expects a cash contribution by all applicants unless extenuating financial circumstances exist.
