New film studio built in Cowra

Producer Graham Patrick’s NRS Group has turned an enormous wool-scouring shed in the New South Wales country town of Cowra into the fourth biggest film and television studio in Australia. Geoff Murphy (UTU and 1st AD on “Lord of the Rings”) will Direct Giants at Dawn – a U.S $30 million Japanese co-production about the Cowra Breakout utilising at the studio in the immediate future.

NRS also intends to develop the land around the studio, with on-site accommodation for production crew.
