Romulus, My Father moves between comedy and tragedy as it tells the story of a young family setting out to make a new life in a very difficult and hostile country. At the heart of the film is the relationship between a young boy Raimond and his father Romulus, set against the profound tragedy of his mother Christina’s death. It is ultimately the story of the compassion, honesty and profound love of a father for his son.
