Alan Rosenthal was born in England, studied law at Oxford and is the maker of over sixty documentaries. Rosenthal is the author of some of the most influential texts on documentary in the English language. His book titles include New Challenges for Documentary, The Documentary Conscience, Writing, Directing and Producing Documentary film’s and Videos and Why Docudrama? Fact-Fiction on Film and TV . Rosenthal has taught at various universities around the world.
